Nestled in the heart of Boston at 40 Trinity Place, the Raffles Hotel Boston stands as a testament to refined luxury. As the first Raffles-branded property in the United States, it beautifully carries forward the legacy of the iconic Raffles Hotel Singapore, which has been synonymous with grandeur since 1887.  The hotel recently celebrated its one-year anniversary, and my stay was a true reflection of the hotel’s dedication to offering an unparalleled experience.

From the moment you step into the hotel, it’s clear that Raffles Boston is a masterpiece of design. The blend of old-world charm and contemporary elegance is evident in every detail—whether it’s the meticulously crafted doors, the harmonious color palette, or the luxurious materials used throughout the property. The ambiance is further enhanced by the lively and happy presence of guests and staff alike, creating a sophisticated yet vibrant atmosphere.

One of the standout aspects of my stay was the hotel’s impeccable staff. Every member exudes warmth and professionalism, effortlessly balancing attentive service with a personal touch. From casual yet engaging conversations in the elevators to the ever-ready assistance at reception, the staff creates an environment as welcoming as the surroundings.

Climate Change, Drought, and the Future of Coffee

Extreme droughts are shrinking the world’s coffee-growing regions, threatening supply, farmers’ livelihoods, and your daily cup.

Our morning started with a visit to the hotel spa. An oasis of calm, a wide array of innovative treatments are offered. Every treatment is carefully designed to leave you refreshed, creating the perfect retreat from the bustle of city life.  For those who like to keep up with their fitness routine, the 4th-floor fitness center is a well-equipped space, complete with state-of-the-art machines and serene views.

I was also fortunate to experience several dining options during my stay, including breakfast and lunch at the Long Bar restaurant. The 17th-floor outdoor dining area offers breathtaking views of the Boston skyline, making each meal a  delightful occasion. Special thanks to Lissette, our waitress, whose warmth and personal stories from her hometown outside Medellin, Colombia, added a wonderful personal touch to our experience. The hotel’s Portuguese restaurant, Amar, also left a lasting impression, with Michael, our waiter, ensuring every detail of the evening was perfect.

The true hidden delight, however, is the Blind Duck, a speakeasy nestled inside the hotel. Here you will find a relaxing yet sophisticated atmosphere to unwind in after a busy day. Thanks to Om Savanekar, one of the night managers, our evenings were marked by comfort and exceptional service. His dedication to guest satisfaction and attention to detail truly set the tone for a delightful evening.

Five Keys to Understanding Venezuela’s Oil History

The country holds the world’s largest oil reserves, but its oil industry now operates far below its historical potential.

In every corner of Raffles Boston, one can sense a deep commitment to luxury, comfort, and personal connection. My stay was an unforgettable experience, and I look forward to returning to this remarkable gem in the heart of Boston.
