Editing Human Genomes

Editing Human Genomes

Read a summary of the discussion below.
We’ve made things like viruses and vaccines, and we’re starting to engineer single cells. What happens when we can make a vaccine as easily as we can make a Tweet?  What happens when we can engineer plants and animals?  Soon we’re going to make synthetic human genomes and edit them. We’re going to end up with reproductive technologies that will make cloning look organic, and the way we make babies today look quaint.
