We hope you enjoy this digital version of our 2014 Techonomy magazine. It includes four exclusive feature articles plus shorter techonomic items, along with content from our 2013 conferences.
You’ll find Jack Dorsey’s original drawings for Square, Aetna CEO Mark Bertolini’s grim diagnosis and aggressive course of treatment for American health care, David Kirkpatrick’s assessment of Facebook’s Internet.org initiative, and much more.
The first quarter of 2014 has been a busy one, with activity at Davos, DLD, and Mobile World Congress. We’re crafting plans for TE14 in November in Half Moon Bay, California, Techonomy Detroit on September 16, and our upcoming Techonomy Bio, June 17 at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California. Further details are at Techonomy.com.
We are redoubling our efforts to stay in touch with our community, and to extend and broaden the ways we convene conversations and bring leaders together. We hold tight to our central theme—that with the pace of change accelerating, leaders must embrace tech if we want to drive business and social progress. The Internet is a central tool, but the fact that we’ve printed this magazine shows we don’t believe in facile black-and-white analysis.
Enjoy the magazine and tell us what you think. Better yet, contact us at [email protected] and contribute an article for our website or our next publication.
