Companies to Partner on Conversations, Content and Conferences

Edelman and Techonomy Media today announced a partnership centered on accelerating the debate around the role and impact of technology on business and society.
As Techonomy expands its portfolio of events and media products, the companies will collaborate to develop, produce and lead conversations, content and conferences for market leaders, entrepreneurs and institutions that want to change the world through technology. As part of the agreement, Techonomy Media has appointed Edelman as its agency of record for PR and digital services.
Edelman_Logo_Color“David was the first to declare the imperative that every leader needs to be a technologist in today’s economy because the pace of change is accelerating,” said Joe Paluska, global chair of Edelman’s Technology practice. “It’s more important than ever for this community of leaders to drive innovation across their businesses and engage in a broader debate about the role technology plays in shaping the world. We’re delighted to be a part of the community and discussion that David is building.”
“Edelman has been an impressive communications pioneer in this social media era, and also focuses with unusual intensity on the importance of technology for all industries, and for all leaders,” said David Kirkpatrick, founder and CEO, Techonomy Media. “We’re excited about working with Edelman to help grow Techonomy Media into a global media company and expand our community. We aim to push forward a more systemic and comprehensive dialogue about the relationship between technology, the economy and society.”
As part of the agreement, Edelman will provide PR and digital services to Techonomy Media including its flagship events, Techonomy 2014 in Half Moon Bay, California in November and Techonomy Detroit 2014 in September. The companies also will partner to co-develop salon dinners, one-day workshops and events. Edelman and Techonomy Media also will collaborate on content strategies in support of a central theme of technology, business and society.

About Techonomy Media
Techonomy is a media company with a mission: to elevate the dialogue about the central role of technology and innovation in business and social progress. We convene leaders for our annual flagship Techonomy conference (this Nov. 10-11 at the Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay, California). It enables leaders of tech, business, government, science, academia and NGOs to cross-fertilize and share both enthusiasm and alarm at the pace of tech-driven transformation. At our annual Techonomy Detroit (this Sept. 16), we conduct a more US-centric dialogue about tech’s role for competitiveness, jobs, and urban revival. Through our events, daily editorial coverage and video content, we seek to accelerate progress and productivity in companies and in society.
