Since 2017, Dana Canedy has overseen the Pulitzer Prizes, notably pushing the prestigious awards to acknowledge an increasingly diverse body of work, and last year, she became the third woman and first Black person to take over Simon & Schuster’s namesake imprint as senior vice president and publisher.
