Cindy Jeffers joined Salon Media Group as CEO, CTO and Director in May 2012. Prior to Salon, Cindy spent two years at The Huffington Post as Technical Director and VP of Technology through a period of substantial growth in traffic and revenue and an acquisition by AOL. While at Huffington Post she played a key role in the development of Huffingtonpost.com, a proprietary content management system, and international editions, including Le Huffington Post (France), El Huffington Post (Spain), HuffPost UK, HuffPost Canada, and L’Huffington Post (Italy).
Prior to The Huffington Post, Cindy was a researcher at Distance Lab, a technology research lab in northern Scotland, and designed and built interactive exhibits at the American Museum of Natural History. Her technical background includes experience with web, mobile, hardware and emerging platforms. She holds a masters degree from the Interactive Telecommunications Program at New York University, where she focused on physical computing, and a bachelor’s degree from Barnard College.
