Barton Gellman, a Pulitzer Prize winning journalist and author, is senior fellow at the Century Foundation and lecturer at Princetonโs Woodrow Wilson School. He is researching a book on the NSA, Silicon Valley, and the surveillance-industrial revolution. Barton is one of three journalists who received archives of classified NSA documents from Edward Snowden in the spring of 2013. He anchored The Washington Postโs coverage of those disclosures. Bartonโs books include the bestsellingย โAngler: The Cheney Vice Presidency,โ a New York Times Best Book of 2008, andย โContending with Kennan: Toward a Philosophy of American Power.โ At The Washington Post, Barton served tours as legal, military, diplomatic, and Middle East correspondent. His professional honors include three Pulitzer Prizes, two George Polk Awards, the Los Angeles Times Book Prize and Harvard’s Goldsmith Prize for investigative reporting. Barton graduated with highest honors from Princeton and earned a master’s degree in politics at Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar.
