Andrea Tinianow

Director, Global Delaware

Andrea Tinianow creates opportunities at the nexus of law, business, and technology at the highest level, both domestically and internationally.

Andrea has led a broad range of initiatives, including creating strategic partnerships; developing new products and services; entering new and untapped markets; and helping to identify new revenue streams, bring in more clients, and leverage existing resources to grow profit.

Andrea sees and implements practical and sustained solutions. Most recently, she developed Connector Street, a fun, new app to make connections – social, romantic or business – quickly, easily and securely.

In 2014, as the founding Director of the Division of Corporate and International Development, Andrea launched Global Delaware, the state’s first international brand.

Andrea conceived the Delaware Blockchain Initiative which led to the Delaware blockchain amendments that became effective August 1, 2017. She directs the Initiative.

Prior to joining the State of Delaware, Andrea was Vice President, Business Development and Assistant General Counsel of Corporation Service Company (CSC), where she was responsible for developing new products and services. She also managed litigation, advised senior managers, and developed legal policies for the company.

Before joining CSC, Andrea was a litigation attorney in the Wilmington office of Pepper Hamilton, and a law clerk to William B. Chandler III, former Chancellor of the Delaware Court of Chancery. Andrea graduated magna cum laude from Delaware Law School, formerly Widener University School of Law.

Andrea serves on the board of Directors of Delaware First Media, the State’s only public media news service and source for NPR programming. Andrea is an advisory board member of the Weinberg Center for Corporate Governance at the Lerner College of Business & Economics at the University of Delaware.

Before attending law school, Andrea was a marketing director for Thomson Financial Services. Andrea received her undergraduate degree in economics from Brown University. Andrea lives in Wilmington, Delaware with her husband and three children.
