Jim McCann, founder of 1-800-FLOWERS and executive chairman of Worth, has had two real careers paths in his life: social worker and florist. While these two paths might seem mutually exclusive, for McCann, they go hand-in-hand. He bought his first flower shop while working as a social worker at a home for boys in Queens, New York.
“I bought the flower shop, Anthony, not just to be a florist, which of course I became, but also to build a business,” McCann said to Anthony Scaramucci during one of the latest virtual SALT Talks.
