Worth Magazine’s Eva Crouse is joined for a conversation about the Changing the Gender Lens in Media in honor of Women’s History Month with Madeline Di Nonno, CEO of the Geena Davis Institute and Adrienne Becker, CEO and Co-founder of Level Forward. These women have made it their mission to change the baseline level of representation in film and media, and strive for a more equitable future.
Film and media are integral parts of our daily lives—now more than ever. Major works shape not only our culture but also our perception of the world around us. Whether we are aware of it or not, we project ourselves onto the stories and characters we see depicted on screen. So, we need a diverse cast of creators and more equitable representation in major roles to ensure that everyone can feel seen, heard, and inspired in equal measure.
