Terry Lo

Strategic Advisor for Research Technologies, Knight Cancer Institute at Oregon Health & Science University

At the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute in Portland, Oregon, Terry collaborates with industry and academic partners to bring cutting-edge technologies to bear on research programs in cancer precision medicine and early detection, with the goal of translating innovative research into benefits for patients. The Knight Cancer Institute, designated a Comprehensive Cancer Center by the National Cancer Institute, is known as one of the pioneers in personalized cancer medicine and is driven by its mission to end cancer as we know it.

Terry earned his Doctorate in Biochemistry at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada, and served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, California. His research centered on the use of structural biology and computational biology to understand protein function in contexts spanning from human disease to basic biology. Terry has also worked in the private sector in biotechnology, intellectual property and investment analysis roles.
