The catalyst of Ciscoโ€™s corporate social responsibility vision, Tae Yoo leads the companyโ€™s social investment programs in education, healthcare, critical human needs, and economic development. Tae drives a strategy that engages public-private partnerships and leverages Ciscoโ€™s business, technical, and financial assets for sustainable social impact in communities around the world. In addition, she sits on several internal boards and councils at Cisco that help set the companyโ€™s strategy, including its Emerging Countries Council and global public sector. As a 20-year veteran of Cisco, Taeโ€™s insight and business acumen have enabled Cisco to collaborate across government, business, and NGO sectors for tangible social benefit. Her leadership has helped make Cisco Networking Academy one of the largest education programs in the world, recognized globally for its innovative approach to providing ICT skills education. Other programs under Taeโ€™s leadership include the Jordan Education Initiative; Connecting Sichuan, focused on strengthening education and healthcare systems in Chinaโ€™s Sichuan Province after the devastating 2008 earthquake; and the 21st Century Schools Initiative. Tae is a trustee of the Cisco Foundation and sits on the boards of Business for Social Responsibility and Social Progress Imperative. She was co-chair of WEFโ€™s Global Agenda Council on Education Systems and has served on the boards of City Year and the Smithsonian National Museum of American History, as well as the advisory boards of the Global Philanthropy Forum and the Womenโ€™s Technology Cluster.
