Susan Hirshman is Director of wealth management for Schwab Wealth Advisory and the Schwab Center for Financial Research (SCFR). In this role, she partners with Schwab Wealth Advisors to inspire, educate and collaborate with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth (HNW/UHNW) clients to help achieve their goals. Hirshman’s insights appear in the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, New York Post, Forbes; and on CNN, CNBC, FOX, and ABC broadcast news channels. Susan has a passion for enhancing financial literacy for women and is a published author on the topic.

Prior to her current role, Hirshman was a Wealth Advisor for Schwab Private Client where she focused on UHNW clients. Before joining Schwab, she served as a Managing Director at J.P. Morgan. She has additional financial services experience from previous roles at Morgan Stanley and KPMG Personal Financial Planning Practice.

Hirshman earned a Master of Business Administration in Taxation from the City University of New York’s Baruch College and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She is a former board member of the CFP Board of Professional Standards and holds designations as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Certified Wealth Strategist (CWS®), Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA®), Chartered SRI CounselorSM (CSRIC®), and Certified Financial Analyst (CFA®), as well as a Series 7 registration.
