Professor Steve Davis is Head of Climate Science, where he helps to deliver corporate climate programs that create a clear, actionable pathway to reach and maintain net zero emissions by bridging the gap between scientific excellence and technological innovation. A research scientist with more than 120 publications, Professor Davis is the lead author of the mitigation chapter of the forthcoming National Climate Assessment (NCA5) and a contributing author of the energy systems chapter of the latest IPCC assessment report (AR6). Most recently Professor of Earth System Science at the University of California, Irvine, where he researched global energy infrastructure, agricultural production, GHG emissions, and international trade. Professor Davis studied political philosophy at the University of Florida, earned a law degree at the University of Virginia, practiced corporate and securities law in Silicon Valley, and did his graduate work in isotope geochemistry and paleoclimate at Stanford University.
