Scott Duncombe

Lead Developer, ShareProgress

Scott is a native Oregonian, who grew up mostly in Corvallis before going to school at the University of Chicago, studying Chemistry and Political Science. After Chicago, he organized for Obama for America before returning to Oregon, eventually joining the Bus Project and then the Bus Federation. In 2012 he built TheBallot.org at the Bus Federation – a nationwide social voter guide which served over 150,000 voters from September until Election Day.

In April, Scott moved from Portland to San Francisco to start a job as the Lead Developer at ShareProgress, a progressive technology company that helps organizations drive more sharing from their online community, and more clicks from their member’s friends. Additionally Scott works with advocates and campaigns to create websites and apps that mobilize, inform, and empower citizens, like #SoundOff @ Congress which connects citizens to their congressional delegation over Twitter.
