Director of future technology Ryan Anderson is a bit of a relationship expert. As the leader of Herman Miller’s technology insight and exploration team, he studies the relationships between people, technology, and work. As a relationship guru on a local network’s morning news program, he and his wife dispense advice based on 10 years of experience counseling couples preparing for marriage. The approach and goals are similar: to explore and understand the ways people behave, and to develop supportive solutions. With his 17 years of experience in the office furniture industry and his extensive background in social media, technology, and marketing strategy, Ryan and his team are confident they will achieve their goals—to conceptualize a new generation of workplace designed to be relevant in an era of mobile, connected work, and to develop solutions that suit the needs of people in this new workplace.
