Ron Gutman is the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Intrivo. He is an inventor and an accomplished serial technology and global healthcare entrepreneur as well as an investor and a Stanford Adjunct Professor.

Ron Gutman has built and invested in several mobile and online healthcare and technology companies that have served hundreds of millions of people and saved tens of thousands of lives worldwide. Gutman is a leading inventor of health technology innovations holding a series of pending patents. He’s also a World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer and the technology he built won numerous awards and recognitions.

As the inventor of Intrivo’s popular On/Go COVID-19 rapid at-home test and it’s underlying technology, and as the leader of the team that brought it to millions and millions of Americans throughout the pandemic, Ron Gutman knows how to step up quickly and innovatively to create high quality healthcare technology solutions that help people at scale. Gutman presents at health and healthcare technology conferences about the exponential change in technology and healthcare, including at the World Economic Forum, TED, Health 2.0, and Fortune Tech Brainstorm (among many others).

Ron Gutman’s articles on the future of mobile and digital health have been published in respected media outlets such as Forbes, Fortune Magazine, Fast Company, and TechCrunch. He also wrote the best selling TED Book SMILE: The Astonishing Power of a Simple Act and gave a TED talk about smiling that was translated to 51 languages and viewed millions of times everywhere to help people live happier lives. Additionally, he was the first Curator of TEDx Silicon Valley at Stanford University. At Stanford University Gutman also organized and led a multidisciplinary group of faculty and graduate students to conduct research in personalized health. Gutman and the group’s work resulted in the implementation of one of the most acclaimed population health and well-being engagement programs in the nation, BeWell@Stanford.

Additionally, Ron Gutman founded HealthTap, which was during his tenure, a world-leading virtual healthcare provider globally. He was HealthTap CEO until 2018. Under Gutman’s leadership, HealthTap built one of the first and most successful online telehealth platforms that provided online virtual medical evaluations, connecting millions of Americans to primary care doctors and specialists, video appointments, and 24/7 healthcare assistance. Gutman was pivotal to HealthTap’s massive expansion in the US and worldwide, and more than $100 million investment from a series of prominent investors.

Ron Gutman has also been highlighted in the world press for his charitable work and founding On/Go for Good. Gutman and On/Go for Good recently donated more than $1 million worth of COVID-19 testing supplies as well as computers and software to Ukrainian hospitals to help the dire public health situation caused by the war. The donation consisted of On/Go rapid test kits as well as the company’s population health management software and hardware.
