Patrick Collison

Patrick Collison is the CEO and co-founder of Stripe, the online payments company that is expanding Internet commerce by making it easy to process transactions from anywhere. Patrick and his brother John Collison started Stripe in the fall of 2010, while Patrick was studying mathematics at MIT. Their goal was to make accepting payments online simpler and more inclusive, after learning firsthand how difficult it was. Today, the 130-person (and growing) Stripe team powers online businesses around the world. Prior to Stripe, Patrick co-founded Auctomatic, which was later acquired by Live Current Media for $5 million in March 2008. Originally from Limerick, Ireland, Patrick resides in San Francisco, California, where Stripe is based.
