Maria Amundson

With two decades’ experience in technology communications, Maria Amundson heads Edelman’s global technology sector, the largest technology communications team in the world, comprised of more than 420 professionals in 23 countries. Her responsibilities include client counsel, portfolio management, new business development, and sector marketing. Formerly general manager of Edelman’s Silicon Valley office, Maria has two decades of corporate communications experience. Her areas of expertise include executive counsel and visibility, corporate transition, product and category launches, brand repositioning, thought leadership, and financial communication. Edelman acquired the 115-person technology PR agency Maria co-owned, A&R Partners, in 2006. As a senior partner with A&R Partners, Maria played an instrumental role in the firm’s rise to the leading independent PR agency in Silicon Valley. Her work has won numerous awards from respected industry organizations such as PRWeek, the Holmes Report, and others. Maria serves on the board of directors of the Bay Area Council and on the regional board of Teach for America, Bay Area. She is an advisor to the Silicon Valley Talent Partnership and active in the local business and nonprofit community. She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Stanford University.
