Kathryn Harrison is the founder and CEO of the DeepTrust Alliance. The DeepTrust Alliance is the only global coalition tackling the challenges posed by problematic digital content. The Alliance creates open standards and tools to verify sources of content, drives industry led policy and regulation, and accelerates thought leadership on innovations around deepfakes and misinformation.

Throughout Kathryn’s career, she has created and led networks to solve the most pressing business challenges from supply chain to global payments to cybersecurity. Prior to founding the DeepTrust Alliance, Kathryn spent nearly a decade at IBM. She most recently served as Director of Global Product Management for IBM Blockchain Platform, the executive responsible for conceptualizing, developing and delivering IBM Blockchain software products.

Kathryn began her career in financial services at Gerson Lehrman Group in New York and Hong Kong where she led legal, political and regulatory research for the firm’s investment clients in North America and Asia.

Kathryn Harrison is a member of the Lauder Advisory Council at the University of Pennsylvania and previously served as the President of the Lauder Institute Alumni Association. She is a term member on the Council of Foreign Relations and a frequent conference speaker on topics related to identity, cybersecurity and blockchain including IFC CEO Forum, Digital Currencies and Blockchain and the DC Blockchain Summit.
Kathryn has a Bachelor of Science from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, an MBA from the Wharton School and an MA from the Lauder Institute both at the University of Pennsylvania.
