Senior Advisor, Ridgely|Walsh

Kalee Kreider is a senior advisor of Ridgely | Walsh, a boutique public affairs firm. She has advised a wide range of private sector, non-profit and foundation clients on energy policy, climate change and sustainability.

She served as Chief Media and Public Affairs Officer for the National Geographic Society overseeing brand, marketing, communications, and their award-winning Museum. Kalee also worked for many years as environmental advisor and communications director for Vice President Al Gore. She helped in the research and marketing of his books, films, and a top-selling app for the iPhone. She assisted with slideshow that served as the basis for An Inconvenient Truth and liaised with counterparts at Apple, Current TV, Generation Investment Management and Kleiner Perkins.

She has had a varied career in public affairs which includes managing the Washington Office of Fenton and running climate and energy programs for several non-governmental organizations. Kalee began working in Washington as a Truman Scholar in 1992. She is a graduate of Rollins College with a degree in history and Russian studies.
