Javier Sanchez serves as Executive Director of Dolphins Cancer Challenge (DCC), the Miami Dolphins’ signature fundraising initiative and the NFL’s largest philanthropic event. Since joining in 2018, Sanchez has led the DCC to more than triple annual fundraising to over $18 million, expand sponsorships, and implement strategic initiatives that unite sports, entertainment, and community impact. Under his leadership, the event has surpassed $100 million raised for cancer research at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Beyond orchestrating South Florida’s largest philanthropic endurance event, Sanchez and his team collaborate across major platforms at Hard Rock Stadium, including the Miami Open, Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix, and globally recognized concerts such as Taylor Swift and Karol G. He also represented the Miami Dolphins at the ESPYS Sports Humanitarian Awards, showcasing the organization’s commitment to social impact.
A proud Miami native and double University of Miami alumnus, Sanchez holds degrees in Studio Music & Jazz Performance and Music Business & Entertainment Industries and previously taught at UM’s Frost School of Music. An active runner and cyclist, Javier enjoys traveling and is a member of the University of Miami Citizens Board.
