Jake Schwartz is the co-founder and chief executive officer of General Assembly, a global training company focused on eliminating the 21st century skills gap through our work with individuals, employers and policy makers. Focusing on the most relevant and in-demand skills across data, design, business and technology, General Assembly is on a mission to empower a global community to pursue work they love.
General Assembly was named as the number one most innovative company in education by Fast Company in 2015 and was in the top 100 on Deloitteโ€™s 2016 Technology Fast 500โ„ข rankings. Schwartz was named E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year in 2014 and named one of Crainโ€™s โ€œ40 under 40โ€ in 2015. He earned a B.A. in American Studies from Yale in 2000 and a M.B.A. in Entrepreneurial Management from Wharton in 2008.
