Ingrid Jacques is the deputy editorial page editor at The Detroit News, a position she started in December 2012. Since 2010, she has been an editorial writer at The News, with a focus on education. Previously, Ingrid taught journalism and advised the student newspaper for six years at Hillsdale College, her alma mater. The native Oregonian also holds a master’s degree in journalism from Michigan State University and has worked at several other papers in Michigan and Washington, D.C.
