Hugo Sarrazin is a partner at McKinsey & Company’s Silicon Valley office and has been with the firm for 19 years. As a senior partner, he led the technology, media, and telecommunications sector in the Southern U.S. before recently moving to the West Coast to lead the business technology office. In this role, he helps technology providers—including software, hardware, service, and telephone companies—as well as companies that use technology strategically to transform their businesses and pursue new growth opportunities.
Prior to joining McKinsey, Hugo was a software engineer in the aerospace and robotic industries. He has also worked with a number of non-profit organizations, including the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, International Institute of Telecom, and the U.S. Water Polo Association. Hugo received a bachelor’s, summa cum laude, from the University of Ottawa and holds a master’s and Ph.D. from Stanford, all in engineering.
