Hans Peter Brøndmo is a high-tech executive and successful serial entrepreneur who has spent his career at the intersection of technology innovation and empowering consumers. He has invented several novel products and built businesses around them. Hans Peter is currently an “intrapreneur” leading Everyday Adventure (EA), a stealth consumer Internet business at Nokia. EA is developing a new category of smart connected devices, apps, and a cloud service with a focus on imaging and location services. In 2005, Hans Peter co-founded Plum, acquired in 2009 by Nokia. Plum was an early Web and mobile application for private social networking and group conversations, targeted at real-world social groups such as families, close friends, and co-workers. In 1996, Hans Peter founded Post Communications, a pioneering email marketing software-as-a-service (SAS) company. Post was acquired by Netcentives in 2000. Prior to Post, he co-founded DiVA, which brought digital video editing to consumers in the early 90s. DiVA was acquired by Avid Technology in 1993, where Hans Peter was CTO of the desktop video group for two years before moving to Silicon Valley. Earlier in his career, Hans Peter held positions at Apple in Tokyo and the Center for European Nuclear Research (CERN) in Geneva. Hans Peter is the author of “The Engaged Customer,” a New York Times bestselling book on email relationship marketing. In 2013, he co-taught a class on computational photography at the MIT Media Lab. He has testified at U.S. Senate and FCC hearings on Internet privacy and spam and has addressed more than 50 conferences in the past several years on topics ranging from the new models of sharing and social collaboration on the Internet, to privacy, entrepreneurship, and the broader impact and influence of technology on individuals.
