Eric Kutcher

Managing Director, U.S. Western Region, McKinsey & Company

Eric Kutcher is the managing partner of McKinsey & Company’s Western Region, which includes Seattle, San Francisco, Palo Alto, Los Angeles, and Denver locations. Since joining McKinsey, he has focused on serving high tech and industrial clients across a broad range of topics. Prior to this, Eric was the global leader of McKinsey’s enterprise Tech-Media-Telecom practice. He is a core member of the Strategy Practice where he has played an important role in the Growth Service Line. Eric is also leader of an initiative serving emerging growth technology companies. As a thought leader at McKinsey, Eric is a sought-after speaker and author. His latest insights were published in the article “Grow Fast or Die Slow.” Outside of McKinsey, Eric serves on the boards of the San Jose Children’s Discovery Museum, the UCLA Anderson School of Management, and the Hopkins School. He has a B.S. in materials science engineering from Cornell University, and a master’s from Cornell in operations research and financial engineering. He is an avid and competitive golfer, skier, and a Yankees fan!
