Emilia Fazzalari is co-founder & Executive Chairperson of a leading tequila brand, a co-creator of Extended Family, an NBC sitcom, and a dedicated philanthropist focused on education, healthcare, justice, climate change and the arts. She is also the creator of the WE Dream Scholarship program providing girls, from Calabria, who can’t afford college with the opportunity to attend.
Emilia co-founded Cincoro Tequila in 2016 and serves as the Executive Chairperson of the company. Her co-founders are four NBA team owners: Jeanie Buss (LA Lakers), Wes Edens (Milwaukee Bucks), Wyc Grousbeck (Boston Celtics), and Michael Jordan (previously Charlotte Hornets). Under Emilia’s leadership, the Cincoro team created over 1,000 unique new tequila samples in Tequila, Mexico, which resulted in the five delicious, smooth Cincoro Tequila expressions: Blanco, Reposado, Añejo, Gold, and Extra Añejo. The tequilas were launched in the fall of 2019 and have been honored with 29 medals in the world’s most prestigious spirits competitions. Cincoro is distributed throughout the United States and Europe, Middle East and Asian markets.
Emilia is a proven executive with sales, marketing, and technology skills in some of the world’s most dynamic marketplaces. She spent 21 years at Bloomberg L.P. (1990-2011), often working directly with Michael Bloomberg conceiving and implementing challenging and ultimately successful projects. At Bloomberg she held several senior positions, including Head of Commodities Product Development, Head of Product Strategy and Head of the Global Trading and Portfolio Systems. She has experience building energy trading platforms and started and ran the Bloomberg Media Syndication Department. Following Bloomberg, Emilia spent five years (2011-2016) at Poten & Partners, a leading advisory firm in the energy and ocean transportation industry, as Head of the Commodity Consulting & Analytics Department and then head of Marketing. She began her career on Wall Street at Moody’s Investor Service on the fixed income side of the business.
