David Helgason

David Helgason is a technologist and visionary, the leader of an amazing technology company, and a restless entrepreneur. He has a mad passion for creating feedback loops between innovation and teams and revenue streams, applying new and old business models to changing industries, and pushing people to do the very best they can do.

 David’s background is in software, an assortment of university dabbling, creating companies, and helping entrepreneurs. Until October 2014, he served as CEO of the game technology company Unity Technologies since co-founding it in 2003 with the unflinching vision to democratize game development, and to develop technology and business models for the next generation of the industry. 
David always enjoys the challenge of connecting the dots in front of a tough audience, and in recent years has spoken at conferences as diverse as DICE (2014), GMGC Chengdu (2013), ChinaJoy (2013), Nordic Game (2010 and 2013), GameHorizon (2012), the Canadian Game Conference (2012), Develop Evolve (2011), CEDEC (2010 and 2011), the 13 global Unite conferences since 2007, WWDC (2006), and a number of others.
