Daniela Fernandez is a visionary nonprofit leader and social entrepreneur who has made it her lifeโs mission to restore the health of the ocean and empower young leaders as they create a sustainable future. She founded Sustainable Ocean Alliance in her Georgetown University dorm room when she was only 19 years old. Since 2014, Daniela has helped create the worldโs largest network of young ocean leaders, establishing a presence in 186 countries and accelerating more than 370 solutions to heal, protect, and restore our ocean.
Daniela has been recognized for her work by former U.S. Secretary John Kerry, U.S. President Bill Clinton, and E.U. Commissioner Karmenu Vella. She was awarded the 2020 Rising Star Visionary Award by the Silicon Valley Forum, named a 2019 Forbes 30 under 30 social entrepreneur, and is a LinkedIn Top Voices in Social Impact creator.
