Cyriac Roeding is the co-founder and CEO of shopkick Inc., focused on bridging the physical retail and interactive worlds through smart phones. Shopkick was founded in 2009 and is backed by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers’ iFund, Reid Hoffman of Greylock, and Citi Growth Ventures. Shopkick is the first 100-percent performance-based marketing platform in the physical retail world, driving measurable foot traffic to stores, and customer engagement on a 1-to-1 basis. Prior to Shopkick, Cyriac spent a year at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers as an entrepreneur-in-residence to identify next-generation cross-platform mobile and online venture concepts.
Cyriac also founded CBS Mobile, where he served as EVP and was responsible for mobile entertainment, sports, news, and the CW Network. In partnerships with technology start-ups, he created such U.S. industry firsts as location-based mobile advertising, mobile video breaking news and sports alerts, and avatar-based mobile games tied to major TV shows.
