Detroit Relocation Ambassador, Quicken Loans, Bedrock Real Estate Services

Bruce Schwartz became the Detroit relocation ambassador for Bedrock Real Estate Services LLC in June 2011. Bedrock, a Detroit-based partnership between Rock Ventures, Quicken Loans chairman Dan Gilbert, and veteran real estate developer Jim Ketai, is a full service property management firm specializing in purchasing, leasing, financing, developing and management of commercial space. Among Schwartz’s responsibilities are showcasing the city of Detroit, highlighting Bedrock’s many downtown buildings, and working with prospective retail and commercial tenants and investors. Bruce and the Bedrock team have recruited a number of regional, national and international companies to Detroit, ranging from tech giant Twitter to the gourmet cupcake specialty shop, Just Baked. Prior to his role at Bedrock, Bruce was CEO of In-House Realty, a Rock Ventures real-estate services organization he founded in 2006. His Rock Ventures career began in 1994 in mortgage banking. He was promoted to vice president in 2003, and was instrumental in the development of Quicken Loans training programs and its first call center.
