Amar Hanspal

A member of the CEO executive staff, Amar Hanspal is responsible for Autodesk’s largest product organization, which is charged with developing an integrated product portfolio focused on information modeling, ensuring an outstanding user experience and accelerating innovation across Autodesk’s products. Amar leads Autodesk’s groundbreaking AutoCAD, AutoCAD LT, and AutoCAD WS products, and expanded his focus to include Autodesk Revit and the company’s complete portfolio of Building Design and Collaboration and Infrastructure Design products in 2012. He also oversees Autodesk’s Global Engineering Operations. Amar has held several executive positions within Autodesk since joining the company in 1987, most recently as Senior Vice President, Platform Solutions and Emerging Businesses. Prior to this, he served Vice President of Autodesk Collaboration Solutions, which included Autodesk’s collaboration offerings Autodesk Buzzsaw, Autodesk Constructware, and Autodesk Design Review. Under his leadership, sales of collaboration solutions grew by a factor of 11 over four years. Prior to Autodesk, Amar was the co-founder and VP of Marketing of RedSpark Inc., a startup focused on building a collaborative product development system for the discrete manufacturing industry. He holds a master’s of science degree in mechanical engineering from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Bombay.
