In November 2009, Alison Lowery joined Simulmedia as SVP of engineering, responsible for the development of the newly conceived a7 platform. With a belief in the power of TV, a single server, and a hard drive containing a sample of set-top box data, Alison and her team of engineers have built a world-class infrastructure processing 150 million TV viewing events per day and powering Simulmediaโs data-driven TV audience network. Alison is now Simulmediaโs chief technology officer.
Alisonโs success at Simulmedia is built on her experience at Tacoda, where as VP of engineering, she was responsible for building Tacodaโs groundbreaking behavioral targeting platform. Prior to Tacoda, Alison was VP of engineering at Real Media, accountable for the strategy and development of Real Mediaโs global technology products. Her initial foray into early-stage companies was at ESPS, a software company that enabled the electronic review of regulatory documents, where she led the global cross-functional team responsible for product adoption into new verticals.
Alisonโs true passion is building something from nothing: empowering a great idea, strengthening a fledgling team, and utilizing a blank whiteboard to realize a vision through cutting-edge technology and patentable methods on really big dataโwhile having as much fun as possible along the way.
