Since its earliest days, iConnections has been built on a deceptively simple belief that curated relationships, supported by the right infrastructure, can produce better outcomes than markets left to chance. What began as a forum connecting hedge fund managers and allocators has evolved into a year-round technology platform that facilitates capital formation across the global alternatives ecosystem.
This year, that same model is being applied beyond investments with the launch of Funds4Charity, a program designed to connect philanthropists and family offices with high-impact nonprofits using the same tools, discipline, and intentionality that define iConnectionsโ core business.
The idea was rooted in a question only someone deeply fluent in capital markets would ask. โWeโre the best in the world at capital formation, why arenโt we using all the same tools and the same approach thatโs so successful between funds and investors, and just doing that exact same thing for philanthropists and non-profits?โ says Ron Biscardi, co-founder and CEO of iConnections.
Philanthropy suffers from many of the same inefficiencies that capital markets once did, including limited access, fragmented discovery, and an overreliance on informal networks. Funds4Charity was designed to solve that problem.
At its core, iConnections modernized capital introduction by replacing cold outreach with curated, intent-driven meetings supported by data and technology. Funds4Charity applies that same framework to giving, creating structured one-to-one conversations between donors and nonprofits where alignment, trust, and long-term engagement can be established quickly and authentically.
Crucially, Funds4Charity is not happening on the margins. It has been embedded directly into iConnectionsโ flagship capital introduction event in Miami, placing nonprofits in the same ecosystem where capital already flows.
โMaking it a sub-event within our flagship in Miami just makes it that much more likely that the non-profits who attend are going to bump into people who can be really helpful to them,โ Biscardi says. โBecause we have 500 single-family offices, and 100 foundations who are already part of that core event.โ
In its first year, Funds4Charity is intentionally measured but ambitious. Roughly 70 vetted charities are participating, alongside an expected 70 to 100 philanthropists and family offices engaging in what Biscardi describes as โcap-intro style meetings.โ The language is deliberate. These are not ceremonial introductions or passive donations, but structured conversations designed to create real relationships.
The initiative is supported by a slate of programming featuring some of the most respected voices in modern philanthropy, including Rob Walton and John Arnold. The content is meant to match the sophistication of the audience, less about inspiration and more about how capital, governance, and accountability intersect in effective giving.
For those helping lead the initiative, the mission is deeply personal. โCo-chairing Funds4Charity with Ron Biscardi has been one of the greatest honors of my career, and this initiative would not exist without the extraordinary commitment of Ron, the iConnections team, and our entire committee,โ says Lacey Abbott, founder of the Kono Agency. โWe all share the same passion: to open doors for high-impact small and mid-sized charities that too often lack access to family office networks. By applying the efficiency and relationship-driven model Ron pioneered through iConnections, weโre creating a clearer, more human path between donors and doers.โ

That philosophy is already translating into action. Entrepreneur and philanthropist Beck Bulat has committed to distributing $1 million to selected charities participating in the Funds4Charity program at this yearโs event, a tangible signal of how quickly meaningful capital can be mobilized when access and intent align.
โBeing in a position to help in a meaningful way is something I donโt take lightly,โ Bulat says. โI look forward to staying closely involved, seeing real lives changed, and hope restored. It is an example I am deeply proud of and one I am grateful to pass on to my two lovely daughters.โ
That sense of stewardship resonates throughout the iConnections community. As Biscardi notes, โMost of our audience is philanthropically oriented.โ These are investors accustomed to thinking in decades, not quarters, and to evaluating outcomes with rigor. Funds4Charity does not ask them to change how they think, only to apply that thinking more effectively to impact.
By using the same technology platform, the same process, and the same relationship-driven ethos, iConnections is making a quiet but powerful statement: philanthropy deserves the same sophistication as capital allocation.
Funds4Charity is not an add-on to the iConnections story. It is what happens when a platform matures enough to recognize the full scope of its influence. โWeโre in an incredibly lucky position to have this massive amount of wealth coming to our core event,โ Biscardi says. With Funds4Charity, iConnections is choosing to put that access to work for good.
