Tom Kellermann is Vice President of AI Security and Threat Research at TrendAI, where he leads strategic efforts to address emerging threats at the intersection of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. He brings decades of experience shaping cybersecurity strategy across the private sector and government.
Previously, Kellermann held senior leadership roles including Senior Vice President of Cyber Strategy at Contrast Security, Head of Cybersecurity Strategy at VMware, and Chief Cybersecurity Officer at Carbon Black. His career reflects a consistent focus on advancing enterprise security, threat intelligence, and cyber resilience.
Kellermann has also served in prominent advisory roles to the U.S. government. In 2020, he was appointed to the Cyber Investigations Advisory Board of the United States Secret Service. Earlier, in 2008, he served as a Commissioner on the Commission on Cybersecurity for the 44th President of the United States.
Earlier in his career, while a senior member of the World Bank Treasury security team, Kellermann co-authored Electronic Safety and Soundness: Securing Finance in a New Age, a foundational work on securing global financial systems in the digital era.
