Dr. Somi Javaid is a board-certified OB/GYN, a leading advocate for women’s sexual health and menopause, and the founder of HerMD, a comprehensive women’s health practice revolutionizing the future of women’s healthcare. Dr. Javaid aims to make women’s healthcare exceptional by educating, advocating for, and empowering patients to take control of their health concerns.
Dr. Javaid earned her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, where she also completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and was Chief Resident. She was an assistant professor of gynecology at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and completed her preceptorship at the San Diego Institute of Sexual Medicine. Dr. Javaid is a member of The Menopause Society and the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH) where she frequently presents research.
