Rachel Epstein serves as the Chief Marketing Officer for the National Women’s Soccer League, where she leads the league’s brand, marketing, and audience growth strategy to deepen fan engagement and elevate the NWSL’s presence across sports and culture. Prior to joining the league, Epstein spent more than a decade at ESPN, most recently as Vice President of Live Sports and Audience Expansion, where she oversaw marketing for a broad portfolio. That included the WNBA, NWSL, NCAA Championships, MLB, Formula 1, international soccer, and espnW, while leading enterprise-wide initiatives to grow female audiences through live sports and storytelling. Earlier in her career, she helped launch Women’s Professional Soccer (WPS), overseeing marketing, events, and sponsorship, after beginning her career in ESPN’s Consumer Marketing group and later working at Wenner Media. A former All-American tennis player, Epstein earned her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University, where she was a four-time Big Ten Champion and team captain.
