Dr. Jennifer Williams is the Executive Director and Co-Founder of Take Action Global, a nonprofit reaching over 6 million students and teachers in 180+ countries with programs that empower young people to take action on the worldโs most pressing challenges. With over 30 years in education as an activist, program designer, professor, and classroom teacher, Jennifer has dedicated her career to advancing equity, diversity, and innovation in teaching and learning.
Through Take Action Global, she has led initiatives with global organizations including the United Nations, connecting classrooms to the UN Sustainable Development Goals
partnered with students in New York City to create local solutions to climate action
and coordinated worldwide tree plantings with schools, including initiatives with students in the juvenile justice system. She has collaborated with the U.S. Department of State on instructional design efforts, designed playful and creative learning experiences with the LEGO Group, and even worked with students and astronauts to send student art to space.
An international researcher, speaker, and writer, Jennifer advocates for the creative use of technology to expand access to quality education and to inspire action for people and planet. Her practice focuses on the intersections of innovation, global collaboration, and social good. Inspired daily by educators and students who are catalysts for change, she leads with the belief that education has the power to transform lives and build a more peaceful, sustainable future for all.
