Charlie Moore is a highly decorated retired Lieutenant General of the United States Air Force who is recognized as one of the most influential and impactful senior cyber leaders and aviators within the United States Military. With 33 years of service, he most recently served as Deputy Commander of U.S. Cyber Command, where he was directly responsible to the President and Secretary of Defense for global cyberspace operations.
Throughout his career, he held key positions, including commanding two Fighter Wings, a combat Operations Group, and a fighter squadron. His leadership in cyber defense was critical during the 2018/2020 U.S. elections, the SolarWinds, Colonial Pipeline, and Log4j incidents, and in DoDโs support to Ukraine.
He holds a B.S. from the U.S. Air Force Academy, an M.S. in Human Resource Management from Troy State University, and an M.S. in Military Operational Art and Science from Air University. He was also a National Defense Fellow at Harvard’s Weatherhead Center.
Currently, Charlie serves as the Chief Military Advisor of Aura and as a Distinguished Visiting Professor at Vanderbilt University, an Executive Advisor/Consultant on cyber and national defense issues, and a Board Member for several IT companies.
