Global Head of Communications, BNY

Alex brings more than 30 years of marketing and communications experience and a demonstrated track record of successfully helping companies and their leaders effectively build their brands, drive awareness and support their growth ambitions. He is currently the Global Head of Communications for BNY (The Bank of New York Mellon), a financial services company that oversees $57.8 trillion in assets under custody and/or administration and $2.1 trillion in assets under management.

Prior to this role, he spent 23 years at Accenture where he held numerous senior-level positions including Chief of Staff to the CEO, Julie Sweet, helping prioritize key initiatives, participate in strategic planning and building C-level client relationships. He was also responsible for developing, selling and delivering Accentureโ€™s Change Management Communications Services to clients across industries.

He was Group Marketing Officer for Accentureโ€™s largest industry operating group driving integrated marketing plans to drive awareness, relationships, consideration and sales. During that period, he also created Accentureโ€™s first Account-based marketing approach which contributed to increased NPS and CSAT. He was head of Global Corporate Communications for six years where he oversaw all company communications, industry analyst relations and reputation management. He has led Accenture presence at the World Economic Forum in Davos over a 15-year period.

He has worked on the agency side Edelman Public Relations) in both B2B and B2C environments as well as a VC-backed start-up. He is known for building high performing teams and as a strategic manager, coach and communicator to drive culture and organizational effectiveness through complex change. He is fluent in English and Italian, and conversational in French.
