Alex Magleby is the President of Major League Rugby (MLR) and a co-founder of the New England Free Jacks, where he served as longtime CEO. In his current role, he is responsible for the league’s forward-looking strategy and external growth, helping shape MLR’s continued evolution and expansion.
A former captain of the United States Men’s National Rugby Union Team, Magleby also held roles as Head Coach and General Manager, bringing a well-rounded perspective across all levels of the sport. His experience spans league governance, brand building, talent pathways and community-driven growth.
As President, his core mandate is to drive Major League Rugby’s long-term strategy, including brand development, partnerships, media, and expansion storytelling, positioning the league for sustained growth and greater visibility.
