Will Fleissig

Founder and Managing Principal, Collaborative Equities Inc

Will has been a trailblazer in both the private and public sectors, revitalizing large-scaled districts in diverse North American cities including Boston, Denver, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Washington DC and Toronto. He is an industry leader in low carbon communities — initiating projects that embed emerging technologies with vertical development and infrastructure that also deliver above-market returns and expanded community benefits. Will is currently the founder and Managing Principal for Collaborative Equities, based in Toronto and San Francisco. Through CoEq, he is acting as Chief Development Officer for Woodbine Entertainment Group to develop their 680 acre site that incorporates Canada’s largest horse racetrack with transit, entertainment and neighborhood districts supporting 27,000 homes. CoEq is also partnering with a landowner on an emerging 1.3 mile transit corridor in downtown San Diego that is transforming from an industrial district into a 3,000 unit mixed-use community in Logan Heights. Previously, Will was the Managing Director for the Treasure Island Development Group in San Francisco, the President/CEO of Waterfront Toronto, and the Planning and Development Director of Boulder, CO. Will is a registered architect, and received an MPA in public finance at Harvard’s Kennedy School, a B ARCH in urban design under Jonathan Barnett at the City College of New York, and a BA at the University of Pennsylvania.
